1. Open Access Copyright Policies
When it comes to the subject of copyright and copyright ownership, Inverge Journal of Social Sciences (IJSS) is utterly committed to transparency. The original content that authors submit for publication in the IJSS remains their own. Although authors allow other people, groups, and institutions to access the said information as part of the open access procedure. While other parties may access items, if they quote from them, they must give the author or writers due credit. It's critical to keep in mind that author rights are only provided to publications for which you are listed as the author or co-author. The following are some of the author's rights:
a. The right to reproduce and distribute copies of the article (including in electronic form) for personal use.
b. The right to present the article at conferences and meetings and hand out copies at such gatherings. The right to use the article for academic teaching and other scholarly endeavours.
c. Any method or technique discussed in the article that the author(s) developed is protected by a patent or trademark.
d. The right to use the article in a thesis or dissertation, in whole or in part, as long as it is not published for profit.
e. The right to create additional derivative works, to lengthen the article into a book, or to otherwise repurpose sections or passages in other works, as long as the original journal publication is fully acknowledged.
2. Notice of Copyright
The following is an agreement made by authors whose papers are submitted and accepted for publication in the journal:
a. Authors retain their copyright while also granting the journal the right of first publication. The work is also licenced under the "CC BY 3.0" version of the Creative Commons Attribution Licence, which permits others to share the work as long as they credit the authors and the original publication venue.
b. As long as the original source of the work is acknowledged, authors are absolutely permitted to enter into separate contract agreements for the on-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work.
c. Pre-prints are not allowed; once an article has been submitted and accepted, it may be post-printed as long as it is in the same format as it was published in the journal.
d. Authors may replicate the article in whole or in part in any printed book (including a thesis) of which they are the author, as long as the original article is duly and accurately credited.
e. Authors may utilise information from the article in other works they make with acknowledging the original source..
f. The article may be reproduced by the authors and any academic institution where they are affiliated, in whole or in part, for educational purposes with acknowledging the original source.
3. Reader & Librarian rights
In the following situations, readers and libraries are free to copy or distribute articles without specifically requesting permission from journal's management: are not sold and are intended for educational or personal study and/or knowledge sharing with acknowledging the original source.
4. Open Permissions and Access rights
a. Articles can be distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. Authors retain full ownership of the copyright for their article, but undertake to allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, and distribute the article any media including social media or any other platform for distribution or sharing of knowledge with acknowledging the original source.
b. Authors are permitted to post the final, published PDF of their article on a website, institutional repository or other free public server, immediately upon publication, provided, a link is included between the web page containing the article and the journal's website.
